Rating
Rating
1 - Email builder
3.5/5 The visuals are a bit outdated, but all in all it's pretty effective in setting up campaigns. Sometimes the user interface can be a bit trippy and clunky.
3.5/5 Constant Contact is easy to work with. A downside is the limited amound of customization options available within the editor. Visually, it is also a bit outdated.
2 - Email templates
2.0/5 AWeber has a vast selection of templates, but their designs are outdated and the editor is difficult to use. For $29 you can have a template modified by the Awber staff, and for $229 you can have your own design made.
3.0/5 Using ConstantContact's editor makes it easy to customize templates. There are many templates to choose from, but the designs are pretty outdated, though.
3 - Form builder
3.0/5 Very basic, but a large selection of form types.
1.0/5 ConstantContact is as basic as it comes.
4 - Automations
2.0/5 AWeber is very basic. It is fairly easy to use, but it is too limited.
1.0/5 Constant Contact is very limited in setting up automations.
5 - Splittesting
2.0/5 A/B-testing is possible, but a bit tricky. With Aweber, you can A/B-test broadcasts and subject lines but that's it. Testing content inside of emails seems to be possible but we could not figure out how to do it. And no automation splittesting, which is a big let down for such a tool. Aweber Split-testing capabilities are too basic if you ask us.
1.0/5 The only thing you can A/B test with Constant Contact are the subject lines.
6 - List management & segmentation
3.0/5 The tagging options are limited and outdated in comparison with other tools, but list management is nicely done.
2.0/5 Tagging options are limited and difficult to use.
7 - Integrations
4.0/5 AWeber integrates with basically every app (also Zapier integrations).
4.0/5 Constant Contact integrates with basically every app (also Zapier integrations).
8 - Reporting
3.5/5 Tracking and reporting is done well with AWeber, except for reporting of automations, which is limited.
2.5/5 Basic tracking and reporting. For advanced metrics not very suitable.
9 - Support & Community
4.0/5 There is no shortage of videos for using AWeber. If that's not enough, you can call them toll-free, as well as through a live chat (limited hours though).
4.0/5 With Constant Contact, you will have access to an abundance of information. There is a lot of information on their website with many video tutorials. Also, you can contact them through live chat and phone. There is also a community present.
10 - Ease of use
3.0/5 A bit outdated, but not very difficult to use.
3.5/5 This is a fairly straightforward tool, though that’s probably due to the limited functionality of it.
11 - Value for money
3.0/5 A bit overpriced for what it can do.
2.0/5 Way too expensive for what it can do, especially if you have a list of 10K plus..

3.0/5 Aweber was once one of the most popular tools out there years ago. Unfortunately, they were not able to keep up with other tools. We can't recommend Aweber for this reason.
2.5/5 Although Constant Contact is not a bad tool, it just doesn't compare well with other tools available. Constant Contact is fairly easy to use and does the basics well. But the thing is that it is way too limited, especially for the price. It is too outdated and too basic for this time. I can not find a clear reason why we should recommend this tool, except for setting up events, a nice selection of email templates, and .
